A Google pin is not a website
A Google pin is not a website
You have a Google listing. It has your hours, your phone number and the reviews your customers wrote. It shows up when someone searches for a plumber in your town. So you are covered, right?
Mostly. Until the customer wants to send the link to somebody.
A wife sends it to her husband. A property manager pastes it into an email. A neighbour tells a friend, "look them up." What arrives is a Google page with your competitors listed underneath, one tap away. Google shows the pin, then it shows everyone else. That is the whole problem, in one sentence: a listing is a point on someone else's map. A website is a place of your own.
What a real site does that a pin does not
- It holds the link. You can text it, print it on the van, put it on the estimate. It goes where you send it and it shows only you.
- It answers the phone question before the call. Services, the towns you cover, the hours, the photos from the job on Elm Street.
- It makes the call itself one tap. No copy, no paste, no switchboard.
None of that requires an account, a subscription, or a weekend in a site builder. It requires about ten minutes of somebody's time, once.
Why most trades never get one done
Every path asks for something you do not have. A weekend you do not have. A $2,000 quote and a three-week wait you will not sign. A monthly plan that expects you to learn a builder.
So the site never gets made, and the jobs keep going to whoever shows up online. Year after year.
What we do instead
We build the site before anyone asks you for anything. It comes from the listing you already have: your services, your hours, your reviews, your photos, your phone number at the top. It goes live on a real web address. Then you look at it.
If you want to keep it, $199 once covers twelve months. If you do not, one link takes it down and you owe nothing. There is no trick to watch for, because the site is already finished before the price is even mentioned.
A Google pin is where you are. A website is what you do with it.
